Expected experiences: Work with a wildlife veterinarian helping care for patients in the clinic, hand-rearing babies, working out in the field, as well as performing necropsies. Experience a wildlife veterinarian's role in educating the community in addition to working with the government to organizing capture, release, and treatment of wild animals. Extra field work may revolve around setting up sea turtle hatcheries on the local beaches. Knowing spanish may be helpful.

Housing: Housing near the clinic may be provided depending on duration of stay and availability. Hot water is uncommon in El Salvador and some drought instances may restrict water usage in late hours.
