Panama Veterinary Opportunities
City: Panama City
Organization: with or without GVSP
Expected experiences: Assist with field research on Trypanosoma cruzi in local dogs. Days may be long as they involve collecting blood and skin biopsies in the field before returning to the lab for processing.
Best time of year: June to July
Best during the summer after your first or second year, especially if done as a part of GVSP; however this project can be done without GVSP at your own cost.
Housing: A hostel close to the facility is approximately $12 a night; No AC or hot water included. Transportation to the field site is provided.
