Expected experiences: Work in a clinical setting treating many different species including dogs, cats, turtles, snakes, goats, and cows. The small animal clinic is in association with the university and large animal cases are primarily in the field. Professors ensure that students get hands on experience as well as expose them to the local culture (zoos, reptile breeders, animal markets). Research projects can also be pursued. Learning basic phrases in Bahasa Indonesia would be helpful but not required. Best time of year: Varies Perfect for the summer after your first or second year as well as during clinical rotations.
